I've got the old style Kettlestack, which I enjoy immensely. I arbitrarily chose the middle hole for all my Kettlestack builds (35 to 55 pounds). Do you have guidelines for which hole to use (e.g., for less than 25 pounds use the hole closest to the handle)?
I tried a couple of brands of cast kettlebells today. I found that they caused intense pain in my wrist--they hit a spot much closer to my wrist than my Kettlestack. I'm wondering if they have a crappy design, or am I spoiled from my Kettlestack!
I would like to purchase another kettlestack for double KB movements--can I set up a new-style Kettlestack such that it has the same height as my old one?
Thanks!
Other designs might be
Other designs might be ....y, but since you can't adjust the handle on cast kettlebells, you've discovered that you are taking the adjustability for granted. (that's fine by us).
Going to our new kettlebell handle design page, you'll see that the handle is about 3/4" taller than the old handle, but that the hemispherical capped grip end allows the new handle to still "come in" nearly as close (within 1/4") as the old handle.
Also, this page on kettlestack kettlebells with olympic plates has the dimensions for the strap holes on the new design; We've gone to two elongated slots instead of three holes. This affords more positions, and you should be able to match up an old and a new design fairly well. By loosening the bolts just a bit, you can also adjust the handle height without changing
the stack shape.
